In the summer 1999 our daughter got ill and we travelled from our summerhouse on an island called Oland, to get medical care in the nearest town Borgholm. After the visit we travelled down to the harbour to buy an ice cream, and then we got into the Club Corvette Swedens-summer meeting. WOW, we got very impressed, 300 Corvettes.

During the winter I searched for a C3, but I couldn't choose year and type. Chrome bumpers or not... So we visited CCS-spring event to take a closer look at the C3-types.

No doubt, the question was answered: CHROME.
Let΄s go searching...

The car was easy to find. Only 10 miles from our home.
Here is the beauty that I bought summer 2000.

During the winter 2000/2001 we started a new Corvette club in my region, Corvette Aros of Sweden.

History:

It was built in September '71 as '72 years model and were originally equipped with 454 270 hp engine with 4-speed manual, power steering and was painted Warbonnet yellow. Estimated price $6032.

It came from United States in '76 and since then have three owners.

- The first one lift the body, whole weld, strengthen and galvanize the chassis.
- The next one (mid 80's) gave the body a rework with L88 hood and wider rear fenders. He also gives it the black paint with anthracite stripes.
- The third gave the Big Block a large rework, with new camshaft and roller lifters, headers, manifold, Holley carburetor and so on.

I bought it in summer 2000. It's so nice too look at and see the people eat it with their eyes. Everyone seems to like it, when the hot rodded 454 sings it's tasteful song.
